Hyundai i10-CNBC TV-18 COTY 2008

I can see improvement in quality of i10 compared to Santro but new cars (Swift/SX4) from Maruti are bad than its old (Zen/Alto/Esteem/Baleno) offerrings.

From 2005 year onwards Maruti created lot of hype in indian public with good price point and safety features. But remember Maruti is established player in India and if it really wanted to offer good package it would have worked on improving quality rather than quantity but it never did it.

Other car manufacturers like Hyundai/Tata/GM/Honda/Toyota are working out very well and few of them will over take Maruti very soon.

Come 2009 people will realize quality/practicality/safety and once it happens Maruti will have tough time If they don't improvement.

Remember Maruti has refreshed its much needed product line from 2005 onwards hence we can see safety features. Once other car makers refresh their product as well we can start seeing better features.

If i10 is priced 30 to 40,000 less it woudl have come with bad quality.

I cant agree with the notion Swift DDis. The award is for best variant - not best selling variant. I would still vote Optra.

i10 over SX4? nay for me. SX4 did break new grounds in C segment with respect to features and pricing. i10 is just an overpriced car which bought nothing path breaking to the B segment.

SX4 worse than Baleno in quality? You got to be kidding!

Team can you please suggest what is the best buy for 5 lakhs (Hyundai i10 or Swift Vxi) for a City ride.
