The pricing of jetta is complicated. As far as my marketing executive told me, the price of the car depends on the market value for euro.
I dont know how much this information is correct. Also the final price can only be calculated on delivery date based on the market value of euro. Basically the Jetta 1.9 TDI Comfortline DSG, is about Rs. 16,67,000 but it got shot to about 22 lac now do to recession. I dont know how much this information is correct. I was listening to the marketing executive when he spoke to my dad, I dont remember much of it. Even i need a clarification regarding this.

Jaipur! but we bought it in discount, some tax break we never understood. they said its year of manufacture is 2007.
Insurance was borne by company, we were charged Rs.1. Registration was also done by the company. approx 3lac discount.

This was send to us by them during the enquiry.

Attachment 79493
Hmm. I'm wondering if it was a demo car they sold you.

And that attachment is very interesting indeed. 95% of the car manufacturers have a much higher ex-showroom in Maharashtra (Mumbai) than anywhere else in the country, except bangalore I guess. And then in other parts of the country they send stuff like this stating the ex-showroom is lowest in MH and then charge more outside it? Am I missing something here or are we onto something?

PS: Any problems experienced in the Passat till now? Like the ones mentioned in GTO's thread? Lets not hijack this thread of course, you can PM me with a sort of ownership experience. I'd much appreciate that.
