Guys, Just wanted to find out whether is there any difference between OHC 1.5 and OHC 1.5 Automatic interms of

0-60 timing
0-100 timing
top speed

Also bit of discomfort, when you brake hard while in drive mode. I felt something like pedaling the gas bit and applying the brake

and will there be any difference between braking distance when we compare these two

It sure is. You may not get the initial thrust needed when you change the gears from top gear to lower gears say from 4th to 2nd. In normal geared vehicles, you get the instant thrust and you will feel the power whereas in automatic, this happens a little late maybe a delay of 3~5 secs.

There will definitely be a difference to the effect that the manual will have better timings that the autobox. This is because in the auto the gears will change in a certain speed and rpm while in the manual one can pull the car towards redline more easily thus making the timings better.
Cant comment on the 0-60 or 0-100 timings as have not metered that. In the braking there should be no difference and the braking should be as efficient in both models.

Will not the engine braking, an advantage with manual. Also when we engage the drive mode, acceleration was there and we brake when we are in drive mode. Will that not result in difference between braking distance?

This will certainly make a difference when yiou are doing a downhill. As manual lower gears will assist as brakes.

"Braking distance"
is the distance the car travels after the brakes have been applied and is always measured by slamming hard on the brakes and never by gear checking. This is different from the term "Stopping Distance" which is the distance the car travels after the brakes have been applied. Then there is the "Reaction Time" etc etc
Both autos and manuals are checked for braking in the same way and there will be no difference in distances. When you slam hard there is no question of gear checking to slow down.

In an auto box also there is a "L" or now a days even an "L1" "L2" "L3" shift position and so on where the same theory applies as in manual gear checking. Then there is the triptronic box and also a paddle shift (as in the civic) which is as good for gear checks as a manual. As I said earlier, braking distance is never calculated by gear checking.

Even Autos are provided with a Low shift position which one might use as efficiently as in a manual shift but maybe, just maybe, manuals have a very, slight edge over the autos when handling declines but that was in the old gen autos. Now a days cars come eqipped with descent control so that takes care of the odd improbability too.
And by no stretch of imagination is braking distance calculated at an incline or decline

that means even top speed has to be same right?

Well,Auto trannys tend to have a (small) marginal lower top speed than the stick shift.
