If I was a major in the industry and you try to push down my sales figures by introducing an inexpensive little prick on the road, even I would not have let you go. I only hope the output of this healthy little competition that is raising its hood in the Indian automobile industry ends with the customer bearing the fruits of all the efforts that these majors in their domains put in.

Hi,

It would take the Bajaj , Renault , Hyundai and others 3 to 4 years of R & D to catch the NANO . By then i would have created a market share which would be tuff to beat

Lol, its funny read T-BHP members opposing new cheap cars citing insufficient infrastructure. How many of you gave a thought to it before buying your car? How many of you expressed concern when analysts predicted car sales of 1 million a year by 2010? It seems people are only concerned when the price is 1 lakh. A 2 lakh maruti 800 didn't worry anyone!

I think Mr Tata asked us to think beyond, we are still talking Nano. Instead we should think in terms of a 2 lakh rear wheel drive sedan with fuel efficiency to match the 800 and performance to match the skyline.

The Indian arena will be in a state where in you throw a stone up in the air, it would either fall on a Nano or a Pulsar.
By the time hyundai comes up with the car, we will have millions of Nano's going around like germs, Everybody will be fed up of Cars...

This thread is over a year and a half old and deserves to be locked as there is no information if Hyundai is in fact bringing in a small car.
