Not wearing the seatbelt - Hence resulting in me paying the fine on their behalf, while they laugh away sheepishly (sometimes saying that "India mein bhi zaroori ho gaya hai yeh?")

Giving 'invaluable' driving tips and suggestions - Lets not discuss this

Why on earth would you do that? You should either refuse to drive unless they buckle up, or get them to pay their own fines — irrespective of whether they happen to be family, friends, significant others or carpool mates.

My pet peeves, that nearly compels me to sock their ears:

1. Drinking/eating in the car
2. Fiddling with the gadgets
3. Giving sermons on driving etc.
4. Generally behaving as though they are the road experts.
