Absolutely no issue with speedometer at centre. One gets quickly used to . To me this positioning is better from usability as well as look point of view.

Re: positioning of meters - while checking U-va I found its speedometer oddly positioned. I could see hardly anything because of steering.

So true. I drove the Toyota Yaris which has the speedo and tachometer in the middle and I think it's the perfect position for everyday driving.

gary4gar, Have you tried driving the Spark without the PS? If you are comfortable, then why not.. Sounds like a very good deal !!

Yeah, took a TD.
Previously Dad had a Marshal jeep which i used to drive, so steering feels feather touch in comparison to the Jeep

Today's hindustan times Mumbai edition carries an ad with the same prices.

They are now calling it "Anniversary Special" prices.

Frankly speaking, the car is a great buy at this price. But the service netwrok might be an issue, as well as the brand image as pointed out by other members.

That ad is misleading, there is a fine print at the bottom that says (Prices ex-showroom Delhi).

Well most, major cities have a service center.

Also, you can call up GM helpline in case of a break down and they will send a Mechanic within 2 hrs even if the city does not have a GM service center.

They have tied up with local workshops & given them training. So they are unofficial service workshops of Gm:P

This is what problem with GM. The prices are so fluctuating that people are confused whether to buy now or wait

Agreed. I wont be surprised if that happens. If that happens, i think then Alto will definitely have a tough fight...
