Can you please elaborate ? I am not able to spot any news on google.
They were planning to launch the APV since long, but that never materialized. Which 1300cc engine ? I think that they are not coming up with G-series as the engine is almost phased out and now will be available only in Versa and Gypsy King as Swift is getting K12M. I am not sure Maurti will work for getting the that G-series motor comply with E-IV norms.

Is it diesel ?

We already have a thread on this and by the way there is no mention of 1300cc anywhere.

3.5L Is very low for the APV, It has to be smaller than a APV

Is this car already out in the market or it is just announced ? If its not already available in the market, when is the car expected to arrive ?

I am confused on whether it is announced or has hit the roads.

It is likely to hit the roads by Diwali this year. However, not sure if this is a new vehicle or just an upgraded Omni with A star engine (O2 seems like Omni 2), but then 3.5 Lakhs seems high for Omni

This is supposed to be a new vehicle and not and Omni with A-star engine. I think that its quite tough to fit in a larger motor in Omni and that heavier motor can also upset the already not so good dynamics of Omni.
And if the car is 1300cc or 1200cc with motor from Ritz, then Omni is not the vehicle to get it.

This can be a car on an entirely new platform or the Versa platform is suitably modified and updated, giving rise to this new MUV. Considering that Swift petrol is most likely to get the K12M, I think chances are high that this new MUV will get the K12M. Advantages are reduction in capital cost due to economies of scale and reduction in engine spares cost. I hope its the new APV, but that in unlikely. Let this car come up but if maruti comes up with more powerful Omni, then they are absolutely wrong in their approach.
