No 4WD - As confirmed on the webcast by company official. 4WD is in development stage and no launch date was confirmed.
Not sure why they have 4WD option on the driver console if it isn't an option.

I guess they want to capture the 4X4 market with THAR and not lose focus.

True, but this is compulsion right, if you want low cost 4x4 go for open top other wise get a loan of 12 lakhs or so :(

Saw the webcast in FB - Mahindra Bolero | Facebook. Its on now

1. Facelift - grill, bumper, steering
2. Full digital console
3. the 63 bhp DI engine converted to CRDe
4. Not sure what will happen to 97 bhp Storm
5. No 4x4, ABS, airbags
6. Price raies by Rs. 6000/- across all versions

what a waste of time

Thats what Mahindra calls "Micro Hybrid". The engine stops when you halts at traffic signals when you are not pressing acc or clutch and starts again when you press the clutch does saving fuel. You can also activate / decactive the system. Hence the indicator in the dash.

No - its not a hybrid engine or drive train

Dont go by the dashboard. Both my GLX and VLX has 4WL & 4WH lights. GLX at least had Borg and Warner electronic 4wd as option. I didnt buy. VLX (Crde) never had the option. Going by that logic the 1st icon (with 4 wheels) should be traction control or Diff lock.

Price points for the new Bolero.

Although this vehicle will be a Sheep in Lion's clothes with that puny 75 hp motor :deadhorse

Stopped and not in production anymore since June 2011.

Folks at M&M are out of brains (if they had any at all). They are killing their golden goose.

But may still appeal for the semi-urban and rural junta.

The first icon of 4 wheels is the symbol for 4-H.

But its confirmed that the new Bolero will have rear wash wipe, ABS and immobiliser. But it will surely miss the wonderful 97 BHP engine :(

Hybrid system, same as in scorpio to save fuel!

i would like to wait for the 4WD in 1-2 years.

the bolero looks nice in the new face lift model, much better than what we saw in the pre launch spy photos!
