What next?

Suzuki launches Dezire and people who desired for a DDiS with boot go for booking get a waiting period for 2-3 months?

Hope they do something about built quality.

I think even Indica's dont rattle this much these days and even if they do, it can be fixed.

Well, Maruti did pleasantly surprise us all with how 'well tyred' the SX4 was. Lets hope that is repeated on the Dzire.

Somehow i feel that if they remove those ugly plastic things from the rear bumper, it will look class!
Heres a impression on what im talking about:

The plastic things im talking about.

A very bad touch up job, but just see how classy it would look without them.
Also im sure it would reduce the bumper cost as well

Those are two reflectors on either side and the rear fog lamp as in the swift hatch.A mix of sx4 and Swift at the rear .
When compared to the sx4 there is a huge difference in space and design.

IMO, the centre one is fine. But having all the three makes it look like a toy.

well if there is a LDI model, i still think they will not offer the tacho meter and the additional warning lamps. and i strongly feel the things found missing in the swift LDi will surely be missed in the dezire too!

but they better do something about the rattle and have a shorter waiting period its heights that maruti is on now, the skoda already crossed all this way back but maruti better get better now!

The sheer demand for the Swift speaks about the waiting period itself. I guess their new Manesar plant near Gurgaon is ready to produces good numbers in coming months. Lets hope the waiting period will be thing of past again with respect to Swift and Desire.
Even i have had canceled swift once because of long waiting period. Really no one would wish to wait for 2-3 months even after having money to buy some car. It does not makes sense in todays fast pacing and autonomous world.

The photo seems to have come from the blog "automotive news around the world" and the author is ranting that the picture has been posted without due credit. BTW, the blog has more photos of the entire profile of the vehicle.

Mods: Can you please change the post to reflect credit, if that's the usual process ?

Could you elaborate ? Looks like the top end of Dezire has almost similar features (abs/ebd, airbags, climate control, music control on steering wheels, etc) as that of Sx4.

Marginal space (size) and engine power seem to the major differences.

Is there more difference between the two that will warrant an almost 2Lac price difference between Dezire Zxi and Sx4 Zxi ?

I was actually all set to book a Swift VDI with ABS. Can bring myself to wait for a couple of weeks if DZire Diesel will be launched in March itself! I really hope they do. Can't wait!!

You have a bigger car, more powerfull engine,16 inch alloys with better ground clearance ,fatter tyres etc in the sx4.
All features in the swift hatch would be replicated in the coresponding dzire.
Launch should be 3rd week of march.
