Doesn't look bad. Just need wider tyres.

Excise duty exemption declared but without the length specs,Nail bitting scenario at MSIL.Hope the length complication is avoided so that all gets the advantage.

I have an original picture but unfortunately cannot post it here, it seems that the front door has been trimmed and the wheelbase has been extended for a comfortable back seat. The rear door also seems to be reworked. The rake of the side shoulder is lesser as compared to the Swift. Overall, the sedan looks ok.

Here's the exact verbage from today's budget.

[FONT=TimesNewRomanPSMT]
87.3 Excise duty on small cars [ motor vehicles of length not exceeding 4000 mm and
engine capacity not exceeding 1200 cc (Petrol, LPG and CNG) / 1500 cc (Diesel) and
falling under heading 8702 or 8703] is being reduced from 16% to 12%. (Sr. No.42 of
notification No.6/2006 as substituted vide notification No. 6/2008- C.E refers).

And this looks like, is effective March 1, 2008

In flesh the initial impression is regarding the back-which is of intrest for evryone.But as it grows we find that the front is the culprit.But overall i have got very positive replies on the looks front from different people.
So as budget has come out and the indigo cs not to get the price advantage what can be the outcome for dzire prices.

The Swift petrol wasn't getting the benefit anyways.

Now its interesting to see the difference in price between SwiftP and DzireP and the difference between SwiftD and DzideD. IMO, it should not be more than 50K for both. If it is more, people might buy a Swift or the SX4.

No,already there is a difference of almost a lakh between the petrol and diesel swifts.this would come down a bit.It should be nearly 10-15 k reduction for the diesel.I dont think it would make much difference.
