Dezire Pics from Chennai

Found the Swift Dezire near Nungambakkam Landmark.

Looks are subjective - IMHO the car looks good from the side profile but from the rear it looks bad, like a Nissan Teana placed on a pedastral!

I feel that there is a tinge of HM Ambassador on that third pic

Good catch. I see that Maruti is "trying" to keep this car name a secret with the "bandage" on the back.

My take on it is that it does not look bad at all, reminds me of the SX4, if that has done well the dzire will do well too. Expect a long waiting period for this too and specially the diesel one

It looks great in black.I have seen the golden beige and a blue one till date. This car looks good in dark shades.maybe because of the bold body lines.

It looks like a younger brother of the SX4. A lot of similarity there. Can't wait to see it in person.

The rear de-fogger would be standard n the zdi and zxi variants. Not sure about it as non of the top end version was seen by me personally.

Inspiration for the rear design isn't far away I guess

Or maybe Maruti has already realised that not many people "desire" such a car. Though ram has been pretty confident about the car, but I am really skeptical about why an Indian customer would not pay a lil more and go for the SX4.
