Will Honda Fit/ Jazz be overpriced??

Skoda had launched its premium hatchback Fabia with a shocking price!!!
7.5 lacs on road for base version diesel is a rip off!
Hope Honda Does not do the same with the Jazz/ Fit. It is expected to be fitted with a 1.2 litre engine. But it has enormous space inside. So if it comes on road 6-6.5lacs it ll b worth it. We have to wait and see how Honda Prices
the Jazz as it should not enter the price segment of Base version Honda CIty.

I feel yes. Honda Jazz will be over priced as Honda has always over priced its vehicles in India. Well i think its the Hondas tactics to maintain the quality of the brand and its image

Certainly the Jazz will be overpriced, since its a Honda, and people will buy it at what ever price.

Certainly Jazz will be priced high, as honda will position it as premium hatch.

Further Honda always keeps the price above similar compettion models to take advantage of the fact that general Indian consumers are ready to pay premium to Honda brand.

Most of the MNCs want to exploitthe situations here. Not only Honda even Ford/GM/Skoda/Hyundai have priced their vehicles way too high. Still our people buy these cars as we do not have many choices.

Not true. People have choices. Maruti and Tata price their cars very well and people buy tons of these cars. Just look at the sales numbers for these.

Not sure why you included Hyundai in the list. Which Hyundai car do you think is priced too high ? Hyundai sells shiploads of Santro and i10.

Secondly, price is not about the worth of an object but a function of how much people are willing to pay for a particular good.

If Honda was overpriced, people wouldn't buy so many Hondas. NHC/Civic/Accord/CRV are all leaders in their segment.

On too high, I think a lot of people would agree the price of the Getz 1.3/CRDI is a bit high if you compare them to the Swift or the Palio 1.6. Although too high is a relative term - the Getz CRDI seems dirt cheap compared to the Fusion or the Fabia diesels

Not sure the i10 is still selling that much - I haven't being seen more of them on the road.

It definately will be in the braket of 6-6.5 lacs cause its got a smaller engine and not to forget its a hatch else who will buy it over a city which has got a boot and a bigger engine.

I second that. NHC is an example to it.

chances are it will be overpriced. its pretty expensive here with a fully loaded version going at 18K USD for a 1.5Litre engine. I'd say its pretty expensive for that package.

They are more like to be competitively priced as compared to other premium hatchbacks like Fabia etc.
