It looks much better but they cant hide the fact that this relatively slightly shorter car. The headlights seem to have taken a cue from Civic. Grill is from the current mondeo from Europe.

^^
I agree, lights are very much inspired from civic.

I called Bhagat Ford (Chandigarh) today. They say they have no info about the new model. All they know is it's gonna be launched on 19th of this month in Chandigarh. They say. they haven't even recieved any new brochures for the new car.

They say that there is 42K discount going on the middle model of the car. Pretty nice.

Tough wait! 1.4 discontinued is bad. This was one reasonably good 1.4. They could have plonked into the Ikon to reduce the cost.
Looks like 1.6 diesel is not coming.

I think FORD will have to rethink on discontinuing 1.4 as Govt. raised the excise duty above 1.5 Ltr Engines. What say guys?

Couldn't have been any worse timing for Ford. They discontinue the 1.4, and taxes go up for any engine larger than 1.5.

Lets see how quick they are to react to this situation?

Great Job sidindica!!

So finally they have managed an MP3 player in the top end model. The alloy of the 1.6S looks super cool!! Interiror changes are minimal, Just the passenger side dash design and the instrument console. It's good they put in 1.6 in all the petrol models, but the timing is bad due to the higher taxes on engines >1.5. Had it not been for the govt move, it would have been just great.

The only thing i didnt like in the new facelift is the fog lamps. The fog lamps in the existing models looks more attractive.

And the only thing missing is a rear-view shot.

Is this the first Indian vehicle with integrated GPS navigation system?

Edit: Sorry, just noticed! The GPS is part of the accessories available!

Wow!
Ford has increased their warranty? From 18 months, and some km, it is now 2years and 1Lkm.
Nice. I am pretty impressed with what I see and if my brother hasn't made up his mind, I am so going to convince him for the new 1.4 TDCi SXi in brush steel with some good alloys.

@stable rock - the brochure clearly mentions ABS with EBD and 2 airbags - passenger and side - for the SXi and S variants.

It's been 2 years for a while already, with an option to extend for 2 more years.
