Proxima, the face lift is across all the models. The website now has the updated version.

Thanks bensb, just noticed that the lowest models (petrol and diesel) do not have the chrome lining for the headlights.

Surprisingly, the ZXi versions get a 6 CD in dash player while the SXi and the S version gets a Single CD MP3 system....

Well, only 5 K more looks decent! Let us try to compare if it is justified, vis-a-vis the 1.6 sxi (don't have full info yet--others are welcome to update):-

1. Cost of 15" alloys--Rs 22,000 approx
2. Cost of rear spoiler (genuine Ford)--Rs 8500 approx
3. Sporty body kit and single chrome exhaust--not sure of price

Cost saved on features removed:-
1. Leather vinyl seat covers -- Rs 11,000 approx
2. Chrome mouldings on side, rear chrome deck lid, etc--Rs 8000 approx

So it looks like a winner. It has a different coloured dash, per Ford website. It also has a different looking grill, and slightly changed instrument cluster.

However, it looks like some features have been dropped, like indicators on side mirrors, rear armrest in centre and rear adjustable head rests. I wonder why Ford cheaped out on these features.

One thing that surprised me was the the website shows the sxi to have both the 2 din mp3 player and also the old 2-din 6 cd changer. Perhaps the customer can pick on one of them only.
Any updates on this?

At last some accolades and positive vibes for Ford! Hope it lasts! There is something called the Ford FALCON in Aus! The G model is awesome jaw dropping stuff! Wish ford continues in the same vein and brings in more models and the aggressive performance (with Diesel) ones.

My only crib on the new fiesta is that they should have included a climate control in the top end model. Hope they have made the suspension little stiffer too (so that it stops rocking on the rear when with lesser load).

I just came across something interesting.

The ford website does not mention alloys in the S version technical specifications page and even the tyre size is mentioned as 175/65R 14
Ford - Fiesta Specification Data

So does that mean that the alloys and low profile tyres are not part of standard equipment and would cost extra?

Also I do not see anything that tells me that the sports model has a different suspension setup or a differently tuned ECM for performance as speculated earlier.

I absolutely love that front end; good job with the headlights & bumper. It sure looks a lot more aggressive now.

I guess it is an update issue.
The alloys and 15" are in the main flash banner.

Must be an update error. The brouchre posted earlier in the thread mentioned 15" alloys for the S.

Will post the pirctures of interiors tonight. All in all in 1.6S you gain some and you losse some over Sxi .Also the dashbord and interiors are changed . Plastic now is somewhat different quality ,it is mouldable . Instrument cluster also has a honeycomb design all over it.Also there are no changes in engine settings or suspension. All changes are just cosmetic. There are no indicators in OVRM in 1.6S.All in all 1.6S is a mixed bag. Also there is no perceivable difference in sounds of engine. 1 More thing the fromt grill of 1.6Sxi is changed and is same as that of 1.6S.

Sweet car. I loved the ad too. The way it wafts into the parking slot is pretty neat. Best looking mid-sizer IMO.

No discs on the rear wheels of 1.6S :-( But really the upgrade excites one and all I believe compared to upgrades to certain other cars.
