In my case it was a banker's cheque. This is considered to be cash.
Well in my case I fell short of 20k on the final settlement. My icici account was outstation account, was not able to draw beyond a limit. So i ended up paying that thru credit card, with some service charge put on that.

I would say Fiat dealers in Pune are much better. May be because there are two of them.

no.
i dont think so anshuman
a 100 BHP fully loaded car thats cheaper then the ikon 1.3 with 71 bhp without discounts
petra -
same features
better performance
slightly more expensive price because of lack of disc.

out here anuroop is offering free reg. and free ins.
todays bombay times

forget the engine,
1.ikon looks better than petra
2.ikon has better interiors, petra has the same old interiors carried forward from the first gen siena
3.ikon has better service support, petra is nowhere near
4.both cars are fully loaded(flair annieversary and petra)
5.ikon has twice the resale of the petra
6.ford will be here for another century, what about fiat?
7.the only advantage with petra is the 100bhp engine but ikon flair is driveable enough.
8.image of ikon is far better than petra.

Anshuman has some valid points,

Pesonally i think the Petra is a much better DEAL. Which means, for the price.
However, for long term ownership, resale, after sales service etc etc i think the ikon wins hands down.
The thing i hate the most about the petra however is the body roll.... it is quite a narrow car and just feels akward around corners IMO.
Once again, it comes down to what an individual wants from a car.

petra is junk my friend bought it,he is very dissppionted with the service and quality of the car,the only thing good he feels is the engine,he wanted to purchase a gtx since gtx was discontinued and with his budget already streched to limit he went for the petra with half heart. the fuel pump of the car failed at around 4000kms the dealer had the pump arranged in quick 15 days and that too was defective, the chief service engineer"cheif mechanic" was on leave that made the installation of the pump late by 3 days,my friend was shocked.now he says if he wud have purchased a indigo or accent gvs he would have been enjoying the car not fighting the dealers.

hey priyanka,

service is definitely crap but not the car !!

abt the fuel pump failure - the only thing i can say is Honda had the same problem and recalled cars too , but does anyone say Honda is crap ?? just because a part fails doesnt means the car is crap !! u cant say dat !! and the fuel pump can fail due to a variety of reasons and not because the car is crap .....petra has a 32 bit ecu the most advanced of cars here in india

and yeah when ur frnd says fighting the dealers - it shows the dealers are real bad !!

cheers
