Ram, agree with you on Scorpio v/s Bolero part, I also find Bolero to be better looker then the Scorpio or Sumo. But safari despite having those dated looks is IMHO better of the lot.

The Scorpio was and is my favourite. A well kitted Safari willl run it close. The Sumo Grande comes 3rd.

ram
agree on that, there is something raw and understated macho-ness about the bolero . IMO the bolero looks better than the scorpio. If only mahindra's improve the bolero in looks and performance and ride comfort then am sure it can give a lot of current suv's and muv's a run for the money. Even tha armada was a good looking vehicle except for the wierd conical thingys on its wheels..

Looks: Sumo Grande Vs Rest of them Poll

Voted for Safari among the lot.
Bolero - Jeep image looks splendid even now ...it will definitely look even better with mods done.

Safari - among the lot ... has built reputation over a decade inspite lot of engine versions for it commfort ride and macho looks of course cheers:

Sumo Grande - Saw the pictures in car magazines and it looks like montero from angles....and not so appealing...TATA needs to work on design before they put them on roads and later on people criticise

OK i visited AutoSterling in Noida today to get a first hand look at grande.

It beats the safari hands down when you look at it from front, but looses out when you view the side profile or the rear. Hence i will also end up voting for safari.

Leaving safari alone, it seems that Grande is giving tough competition to Scorpio in looks department so far..

Voted for SAFARi , killer package would be black one with 295's/55 on hard chrome 16 inchers and 30% visibility tints. yes i've written 295, in ludhiana there are many safari's with 295 on 16" alloys and even more on 15" alloys.

shift_sumo grande

the grande looks better the safari looks very dated now. (especially that side last window - seems more like a last minute idea)

suman @ u rightly said that since u have more safari owners its quite obvious to have a biased poll.

the fact is the sumo which was once never even looked at is now edging over the safari.

team-bhp will soon see many sumo grande owners with the obvious market shift.

shift_sumo grande

the grande is not really amazing but its a new look for the Indain market where 1 decade is not enough to have a new concept.

For me
1. Safari would be my first choice.
2.Then Bolero for its jeep style .
3.Sumo grande (didnt like its plastic quality interiors)
