In today Hindu paper it was clearly written Honda plans to launch Jazz soon. I guess Jazz will be launched during the last quarter of '08. There is no chance of 2010 launch. by then the model itself would have been 4 years old! Honda had launched Jazz last year in Japan. Im confident of late '08 launch!

Is it just me or do you guys also think the front look of the Accord quite resembles the old lancer? Probably, might look better in person.

No, it's about 17-18L ex-showroom so around 19L+ on-road for the 2.4 version.

P.S. And if the Civic is indeed coming with the 2.0 motor then yum, yum!

If the Civic Sport is priced circa 20L then I guess it would cater to a niche market only.

The Accord is the same one that we see on the US roads now. Personally, I liked the previous version more than the current one though.

AFAIk,The Civic was available with 2.0L (special edition) though with a special paint. Is that the same engine of the new Civic sport?

Isn't that bodykit already an option with the Civic? (Sans the wheels ofcourse)

You mean that with a bodykit alone its gonna cost 20L. Thats like 7 lakhs plus for a Mugen Bodykit? Is it worth that premium. Well I'm assuming that it would be 20L.

The Type R with the iVTEC engine produces 225 Bhp at 8000 rpm is available in Japan and Malaysia only. Wouldn't that be great !! There's a 201 bhp version thats also available with Brembo brakes and bodykit !! Doubt if it would be only 20L here. Its almost 37000$ (converted from Yen) in Japan itself !!

The Civic sport looks awesome, but if priced at 20L, its does get kinda out of reach :(

I personally liked the Old Accord, esp the Front.. this one looks like just another luxury car :(

Dont worry, pics dont do justice to the new Accord. When you see it in flesh it looks quite substantial, quite rightly as some posts points out, it looks very German.

This Civic Sport resembles alot to the Civic Type R, featured in the December 07 Overdrive issue(pages 54 & 55). Further the article also says that Honda India MD Takedgawa aims to introduce the Type R in India... If this article is to believed then the price tag of Rs. 20lac seems to be a very good deal. If not, then just for the bodykit and the 17" alloys the price is way to much.

New Accord

I came to US for sometime and saw few 'new' Accords. I saw a brand new silver Accord V6 on the freeway - it was moving a bit slowly, but the looks were stunning!

I have never seen a Honda Si till now - I'd take a vRS (Laura) anyday over it (The Race Blue one!!!! )
