I think just one car sold in trivandrum from hilton motors.Still the wait is too much,i was of the impression that hyundai had upped the production capacity.Why this delay in such a case.

They said they will give. At first they said the booking amount was Rs.10000 , then they changed to Rs.25000 since its the diesel model . The sales officer who attended me at the showroom called me today and said sorry that she unknowingly said that offer ,she said she is helpless as the manager told her later only that there is no offer for getz crdi . I am trying to proceed to another dealer but they are asking 2L as booking amount.

They have increased the production capacity but seems they havent increased the amount of Getz CRDi production . But the vehicle is really good , thats what i felt when i had a test drive of it .

There is no increase in production of Getz CRDi. Infact Hyundai is going by the "supply on demand" method.

I have booked it . I paid Rs.25000 for booking amount . The delivery period is maximum 2months. So i have ample time to research and list the ICE for me. No Freebies. Thinking of asking the dealer to fit me a remote lock .

right now i asked for white colour, but they are saying white of more demand and it will more time than other , if thats the case , i will go for silver . The test drive vehicle was white and it looked great. The third choice would be sky blue.
I would just give it a try , atleast i am happy with the booking amount . Some buyers made full amount and some 1 lakh . The sales consultant from Chandra Hyundai approached me much better than other dealers.

I purchased GETZ CRDI on 3rd of march, It is a monster on the roads. I took it for a spin on the highway and was able to reach 100 to 140 just like that. I have observed that other cars had a tough time catching up with me. As of now i have put in 300 km for half tank of diesel.

Pros:

1. Awesome pickup, I have lived in US for quiet some time and have driven cars such as pontiac grand am etc. Experience of driving this small hatch is a great.
2. Back seat is very comfortable in comparision to swift
3. Dealer/Salesmen & Hyundai are concious about customer service
4. AC is out of the world, Bone chilling
5. You can have 5 people sit + AC and will not have much effect on the performance.
6. Gear box is excellent, hardly any effort is required to change gears
7. View is excellent from driver seat, same like santro

Cons
1. No ABS, Always in my mind that i need to be extra cautious
2. No Keyless entry
3. Wood finish is kind of ugly not of superior quality

GETZ is the best interms of performance and nothing can come close to it.

I agree with you 96% . The only point different from me is that i liked the wood finish and so was my dad , no problems for me in that part .To my eyes it looked new(as none of my previous cars 2006 ikon , 1996 esteem , 2000 santro had that ) and different . And none of my previous cars had ABS , i can manage it without ABS.

I used to drive my friend's OHC and another friend's baleno .
I usually shift gears at 2000 rpm. I will be needing this power only while overtaking in my heavy traffic highways of NH47 . I rarely reach 120 kmph . So ABS is not much of a need for me here.

A salesman at one of the showrooms in Bangalore has quoted a wait time of 3.5 months for the getz crdi now.
