Price cuts: i10 Megna cheaper by 22k !

Huge price cuts on small cars is a welcome move by the govt. But I think the cars like i 10 Megna which had ex-showroom price of 4 Lac plus, now fall below 4 lac mark after 12k cut on ex showroom price.

This results in an additional difference of 10k on road tax/registration.

The total price cut therefore is 12k + 10K = 22 K!

btw, are there any more cars benifiting similarly?

Has the price cut already taken place? I thought it's effective 1st April.

Steel prices are going to increase . So i think the car prices are going to increase again due to increast in input costs . So , avail this benefit as soon as possible .

This would mean the end of dealer discounts. It had happened the last time when the excise duty was reduced. All car companies quietly stopped/reduced the dealer discounts.

What about Maruti? Have they reduced the Swifts prices?

@akash- let us know if the dealer offers you any discount when you head there this evening.
