If its launch is in Jan then IMHO its a bit late with Splash making entry earlier with a diesel variant. Hyundai might miss the bus again.

yes, eith the entry of splash,MSIL would be able to have advatage here.i think hyundai should launch the car with/before splash to make it a success, the waiting period on diesel is another area where hyundai can easily win.

Hey guys,
Any news on i10 diesel launch? I am in the market to buy a new small car and i will most probably buy the i10. I am just holdign on to the purchase after i read that 1.2 engine will be coming with in a month. But i would really like (who wouldn't) to go for the diesel if it's going to be launched within the next 3 months. Is that a possibility?

Is Hyundai i10 CRDI coming?

I stay besides a Hyundai Showroom and heard from a Hyundai Showroom guy that Hyundai is getting the CRDI i10 before the i20 just to capture the market and give the AStar a tough time, any info on this guys? Inputs please.

What i ment was the CRDI i10 was going to be launched before the i20 and somewhere during the Astar launch just to cement the i10 with 1.1, 1.2 Kappa and the CRDI.

Does anyone have any idea when the i10 CRDi is launching.
I am planning on taking an i10 by next month end or early december.
Already had a test drive of both 1.1 and 1.2 Kappa...
I found the 1.2 engine to be a bit sluggish, maybe just me was expecting more!!!!!!!!
The 1.1 engine was fantastic to drive.
I am just hoping that they will launch it soon.
Looking at the present prices of i10 i am guess Swift diesel will be a better option than i10 diesel.

Thats interesting. You found the 1.1 to be more responsive than the 1.2 ? There may be a problem with the TD car. Do try at another dealership.

Kappa is fun to drive in the mid range or high range rpms.

I dont see High Rpms happening.
The city traffic is horrible these days.
It took me 1 1/2hrs for me to get back home from college.
The roads have become horrible due to rain..
No point in having so much power.
Maybe i will try some other dealer.
I am keen on the CRDi..
I drove the 1.2 with an average rpm of 3500.
Car is fun to drive....Really good handling....Easy to drive in tough traffic....

Lets not lookout for a diesel soon, as they might launch it only after a initial market study with the petrol.

And if to compete with the swift, they will be launching the i10 with the same diesel engine, so they can get its price close to or competitively to swift. If they launch the i20 diesel, then the prices would be nowhere near that of swift

I did test drive the 1.2Kappa under a different dealer...
The car was good maybe a marginal improvement in responsiveness.
Did try high revs touched 5000rpm. Car has a capability to zoom, but very badly needs better tyres.
I drove the 1.1 also found the initial pick up to be better but then later 1.2 kicks ***.
For city driving i think 1.1 is good enough.....
Any idea about the diesel, i asked the dealer he had no clue...
