New Honda Accord - Launched Pics on Pg 6

Hi Guy's -

Was just checking out the Honda India website for Honda City prices and I saw this on their website. Accord soon to be launched.

Honda Accord In India, New Honda Accord In India, Buy Accord In India: Honda Car In India

Called up Honda local office and they say it's going to be launched 1st week of April. Special preview last week of this month. Pricing to be 16 Lacs and above.

( MODS - Do not know if there exists a similar thread, please move if there is one )

No wonder !
Went to a new Honda showroom inauguration last week. There was no Accord on display. Another dealer was having a roadshow at a mall this weekend. Their price list did not have the Accord either.

Thats pretty good news. I also visited the website and as reported earlier in some thread on this, the car is stunning , of course , many external features resemble that of Sonata/ BMWish!
Information on Engine specs( pwer/. torque) is keenly awaited. Its also learnt that they may launch V6 later. Any update will be a greta news. Anyone has any idea whether they may plonk V6 in CRV range here in India. They dont have V6 in CRV even in Dubai.

i think they will launch the 2.4l engine either in 176bhp or 190bhp tune. i hope its in 190bhp tune. the 190bhp 2.4l engine's redline is at 7100rpm.

Suweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet !

The Camry with it's price tag hasn't had much success. With the new Accord the little sales that the Camry did have are gone too.

I just hoooope Honda has heard the cry of most Accord A/T owners and improved the FE on this one.

From the looks of it, it seems the V6 is a no-go this time. Will update this thread once I get more info.

Looks like they've worked on the engine to improve the fuel efficiency. (Some techniques remind me of the popular techniques used in the semiconductor/chip industry :-) ) - And the car simply grows on you!

I have been seeing quite of few of them here (in Virginia, on business). And I love the rear, and the front. The side profile is also pretty good, but I dont like the protruding head lamp off the profile (like i10). I'll try getting atleast a test drive before I come back to Bangalore

Nope
No V6 this time.
Source is Autocar for this month.
They say it consumes a lot of fuel . But then why did they introduce cylinder deactivation in it then?

i feel with the NEW accord , HONDA should offer 2 engine options to start with..

the 2.4 lit with 176/190bhp ( 176 seems to be good enuf )
the 2.0 lit that does duty in the NEW CRV so that people have a choice at a lower price range also...
