Performance : 4cyl, automatic: 0-60 mph: 9.8; 0-30 mph: 3.7

Yup, I have heard countless opinions in the States against the huge size of the Accord. Apparently, it has lost some of the characteristics that were inherent to previous generations.

Should not matter in India though. Here, the more car we get for their money, the happier we are!

i think they will launch the 2.4l engine either in 176bhp or 190bhp tune. i hope its in 190bhp tune. the 190bhp 2.4l engine's redline is at 7100rpm
190bhp comes to around 79bhp/ltr which is pretty high by Indian standards.

OHC VTEC - 70bhp/ltr
Present Accord I-4 and V6 - 59bhp/ltr and 73bhp/ltr
Civic - 73bhp/ltr
CR-V - 66bhp/ltr
NHC VTEC and OHC 1.5 - 66bhp/ltr
OHC 1.3 - 69bhp/ltr

So if they decide to give the Accord 70-73bhp/ltr you can expect the power to be around 168-175bhp.

Do we have a specific launch date and pricing info yet? I really need to get this car soon but I am hesitant to book the car without seeing pricing and complete specs for India.

Going by pictures of the 2008 Accord, the Camry has the Accord beaten hollow on the looks factor. The Camry looks distinctly more plush, complete and balanced.

Yes I agree with you. No modern car can have more than 70bhp/ltr. in India. Crossing that limit will give them less lower end punch ( Civic is the example ) as the tuning then changes to a different level.

I am expecting around 166 bhp. Nothing more. Its more than sufficient.
