Fantastic !!.

If they launch the diesel version and price it correctly, the capiva and Santa Fe better watch out.

Woo-hoo! Nice scoop!! Thanks Raajiv.
So, at last Indian diesel quality has improved enough for the extremely super high tech Honda diesels eh?

they probably are. please take off the images and watermark them. i thought honda had said that the diesel quality in india wasnt good enough for their diesels. look like theyve changed thier mind. also with the captiva and so many other diesel suvs i think this is a good move.

Akshay,

What is that water-marking and how to do that?

Honda has finally bitten the diesel bullet!!! I guess the Indian market coerced them into it. For all the rave reviews that Honda's diesel unit has received, it will instantly have a long line of Indian followers. We can be sure that the new Accord will receive this engine too. Slam Dunk on its D-segment competitors? My only concern is how well they will be able to price it? The CBU CRV is already overpriced.

Awesome pics...thanks for sharing.

I thought they said India is not yet ready for them to launch their Diesel units. Anyway good move by honda. This unit in Accord can kill camry and paralyse Laura.

Exactly - I would say this would be in the X-trail territory. I cannot see Honda pricing it in the Endeavour band.

Looking at the pics, they certainly look closer to launch. I won't be surprised if it happens soon.

SURE SUCCESS!

The Indian Junta would pay anything for a Diesel honda SUV.
There will be demand even if its a lakh more than 20.

Won't the diesel CRV literally kill the petrol CRV sales? Given an option, most would prefer the diesel CRV to the petrol one. Why would one buy a petrol CRV is the diesel one is made available?

So does this mean that, slowly, honda will remove the petrol CRV from the market?
