2008 Palio...will it be in India?

Hey guys

M a new member to this website and its just awesome as ppl like me (a hard core car enthusiast) get a chance to speak.

Was just browsing Fiat Brazil's website and came across the new Palio 2008 (Gen IV). I am a bit disappointed looking at its pics. Even though Fiat has done a great job restyling its 178 platform best seller to reflect the new image (it has set with cars like Croma, Grande Punto and Bravo), I think Palio has lost its very image of a being a solid car.

Check the link below and let's discuss if this could be a hit as big as the older generations ? If it comes to India (wont be atleast till 2009 i think), will it be preferred ? Fiat | Pré-Home

hey max he is talking about palio not baleno. so i guess this thread is apt! in my opinion, the newest palio wont make it here. instead they might launch punto/linea and then maybe think of upgrading palio once more say after 10 yrs

hey max , the thread you have pasted is for the baleno and if some1 discusses in it then its a post right ??
and this is the latest palio from fiat's bag, not the Gen 3 which is christened as the stile in India

i ve seen the pics on the web site,interior is suberb man,i didnt like the exterior at all,exept alloys,very nice choice of alloys.

It is seemingly under powered at 66 BHP too. The looks definitely are to my liking.

The rear section looks a bit like an 800. But, please can we have those interiors in the Indian Palio?!

i think the rear looks more like the zen, making the palio look more feminine and not as solid as it is now !!!

infact the palio stile is the same 07 version of the fiat palio in brazil, and this has the same interiors as shown above. but as the dashboard isn't available in RHD, fiat decided not to make 1 and get it in india at the moment. hope they do it soon !!!

OK, there is no 1.6L option in 2008 model. I was referring to 1.0L. There seem to be two more choices 1.4L (81 BHP) and 1.8L (115/113 BHP).

Am sorry I had pasted the wrong link , Yes am very much aware what you are talking about . What am trying to say is that since there is already a thread which started long before you joined the form so you may not have been aware of it.

Well.. going by those pics.. the car looks really ugly to me.. I would say it doesnt look to be balanced and has an awkward stance.
