guys,i think there would be changes in the prices of other cars in april.
logan for sure,(site is under updation).

OT::I Had discussed this earlier, swift would end up losing customers now.
it would be great if maruti reduces swift`s prices right away.

I don't think maruti would reduce swift prices even a bit. They've enough demand for Swift to meet their targets even at the current prices, and now with Dzire they may be able to balance demand/supply for swift as well as Dzire and hence less waiting period in couple of months.

From the T-BHP pulse, it seems that the dzire has caused as much impact as would the 1 lakh car.

The only difference I was hoping for better was the rear leg space.. I am disappointed because there is no difference in the wheel base...

This will sell like hot cakes despite the waiting period due to the Indian "big car(read sedan)" mentality .. i hope there are some discounts on Swift hatchback now.

The looks are not so appealing, but it will catch on with time IMO, I did not like the Swift looks when it was released, but ended up owning one later!!

It will be great if someone could post the OTR for bangalore and the waiting period...

Cheers,
Naresh

The competetion that can be the most affected will be:
1) Renault Logan.
2) Indigo, till a new one comes out and tata will now race.
3)Ford Ikon ( even the diesel cant beat Dzire).
4) Accent, but eventually it was going to die.

So I think, Dzire will eat into Swift hatch, Getz, Ikon, upto some extent the Sx4 also.

How this will affect the Getz, Accent price?

Getz has tons of discount so OTR is

1.1 - ~4.5lkh OTR

1.3 ~ 5 lkh OTR ( Both w/o ABS) after discounts

Accent is ~5.5 OTR after all discounts.

Dzire vxi will be ~5.65 OTR and there are not discounts.

So how this eating part will happen

very very interesting. Thanks for this data!
Are those revised Logan prices? Any idea how DLX Logan will compare against Vdi in terms of features (as in ICE, alloys, creature comforts etc?)
