Swift Dzire Petrol Vs. Swift Dzire Diesel

Swift Dzire Petrol Vs. Swift Dzire Diesel
Initial Spending: 5,06,000/- 6,00,000/-
Excess paid: ---- 1,00,000/-

Avg. fuel exp. 32200/- 17266.6/-

Savings for diesel: ------- 14933/-

At this rate of return one would get his/her money spent on diesel i.e. Rs. 1,00,000/- back in 6.69 years approximately. Now its up to you all to decide which one to Own.

Calculations based on an average running of 8400 Kms. Per year, with F.E. of 12KMPL for petrol variant and 18KMPL for diesel variant, with fuel prices 46 and 37 for petrol and diesel respectively.

Rate of recovery is obvious to go high as the running is increased.

You have missed one point that is, samething applicable for the Resale value. Diesel has better resale value compare to Petrol counterpart. it is the case in India from Lancer Diesel to Indigo, Indica diesels. So one gets 1 lac extra at the time of selling it especially for 1.3 Multijet powered instead of outdated esteem engine.
