E Class 350 50 Lakhs

E class AMG 1.5 crore !!!

Lancer 15 Lakhs

EVO X 50 Lakhs

SO I think its justified in a way why its more expensive

I know it should had been 35-40 but thanks to the Govt.

The only worry for me in this case is Mitsui's commitment, or rather the lack of it over here. No doubt they are here to stay but after sales support is crucial & in their case if you are not staying in the vicinity of a service station its going to be a full days' job just for getting the car serviced. Hope they work towards increasing their service network.

Completely screwed up pricing by Mitsubishi. Who would like to buy at 55 Lacs on-road and sell for less than 10 lacs in 4 years? They need to first focus on building brand image in India and then on their pricing which is always screwed up...I dont understnad when will they learn. May be after killing Mitsubishi brand in India.

Did you guys read the Brochure ? It says warranty of only 6 months or 10 thousand kilometers. What Mitsubishi commitment ? they themselves are not confident of the product surviving in India.

Even a cycle would have larger warranty periods than this.

Thumbs down to Mitsubishi.

They are not underconfident about their product but they know 6 months would be enough for the owners to pimp it up.

I wonder why Mitsubishi always gets it wrong in India. Dont they have any good advisors apart from the HM guys. The Evo is such a superb product but will eventually die due to its poor pricing strategy.

50 Lakhs! That means somewhere close to 60 OTR BLR! What were these guys thinking??!!

Defenitely not worth it, would rather buy a used super car or something ie if and when i can afford 60 lakhs lol

I don't think Mitsubishi is aiming for any huge sales figures with the Evo, on the contrary they just want it to serve as a launching pad for the new Lancer which they will be launching sooner or later.IMO, it is a pretty good strategy to increase the aspiration level associated with the Lancer brand.

^^ I agree to some extent, but, talking about the EVO X it is clearly for enthusiasts and people who have 60L as spare change. For money and value conscious people there are simply too many options for 60L on road.

Not quite, Omar.

E-Class & AMG @ their quoted rates (if they are) are probably there for a reason - features as well as brand value. People might notice those cars and give them a 'wow' .. a second look.
Not really to a Mitsu.

Last I knew, the Lancer was less than 10, not at 15.

Evo should have been near the 3-series .. at best.

C'mon, 50-60 L for a Mitsubishi in India is charity, and not a smart one

50 lakhs for a Evo? That is nonsense. Down south, it will be more. But, hey I am sure some mid aged gentleman will purchase it and be chauffered around in it too!
I checked the Mitsubishi web site, it does not seem to confirm this. It just says EVO X arriving soon, keep watching for this space. Latency in updating server maybe?

Regards,
Rohan

Only mafiosi would want to be chauffeured in a Mitsu sleeper car!
Gentlemen would prefer a Merc or Beemer when they're shelling out 50+ lakhs.
The Evo is for boy racers. Don't think many can afford one for the asking price, though!

well a low milage used e60 M5 will be available for around 50 lakhs and that is a 500 bhp super car . i would get it any day over the evo X if i had that kind of money. the pricing is absolute nonsense . Max they could have priced it at the level of 3 series/A4. By the way internationally mitsubishi offers only 6 months warranty.

I wonder if they will be able to sell even 10 units of Evo X at this price. Looks like Mitsubishi's India operations are run by blind, dumb and deaf.
