This is indeed a Good news for Indian EVO enthusiasts. The price looks decent keeping in mind Indian laws

I know GTO would be smiling as he somewhere had wished that HM India should do this

I dont think this would have any impact on the Amby

p.s. the remarks people have posted are quite wierd

WOW, 21 lakh is not too bad, although a good price would be around 15-16L

Good find OEM.

Its in the luxury sedan category ? The price might be.
However, a true racy car. A real one in India for the first time.

21 lakhs is actually VFM compared to the rubbish prices you would pay for the likes of CRV and Skoda Laura. How many of these vehicles have All wheel drive (S-AWC), active yaw control and other such wizardry?

However, I doubt the price will be 21 lakhs. Expect it to be around 30lakhs plus - especially if Hindustan Morons have any role to play.. hopefully none.

It truly deserves the pricing. But you can't compare it with Skodas, CRVs etc., You can't call it luxury sedan either. It can only be compared with WRX and hope its introduced in India too. GM should use the Subaru brand name instead of putting GM over it.

But looking at its price in the U.S (12 lakhs !!). Man it sucks in India.

I dont think its pricing is right. The more apt pricing would be in the range of 17-18 lakhs. It would be compared against the vRS.so the pricing should be more sensible.

As I posted in the other Lancer thread, kudos to HM-Mitsu for finally taking the EVO plunge. Suddenly, I don't feel so bad about the RS being discontinued (okay, I do) but this is the first time a performance car of truly international levels is being offered in India at a price <30 lakhs (fingers crossed). Lets give the massive credit that is due to HM for this. First the R1, and now the EVO. Great time for Indian petrolheads indeed.

You bet! It seems like just yesterday that I was giving my 2 cents of gyan to HM on why they ought to launch the EVO.

It's just unbelieveable... i had spoken to the head of marketing for Mitsubishi in India at
the Auto Expo in Jan, asked him if we order or how can we buy it in india he told me cars
under $30,000 need to go for homologation and mitsu doesn't plan to do it in the near
future... i know he won't divulge company secrets but he looked quite sure of the car
not coming to india in the near future. I just wish they get it here at any price.

Nice move. But I'm thinking 21 lakhs is a little optimistic. Upwards of 30 would be more likely.

Never knew that Evo 10 was the replacement for the old Amby.
