GM India Hummer H3 to be launched Mid 2008 and Cadillac 2008 end

I have got inside sources from my friends at GM India they have given the Hummer H3 to ARAI for approval after more than 18 months of testing on Indian conditions. The H3 would be launched with Diesel engine but engine Specifications has not yet be disclosed. The Company also plans to launch the all new Cadillac CTS by year end or early 2009. The Company is also seriously thinking at providing diesel engines as an option once its engine manufacturing plant becomes operational by next . The company is yet to finalize a location for the engine plant.cheers:

The H3 is a nice runabout for the town and can hold it's own offroad. The styling and stance runs in the family, but it is just too darn small to be called a HUMMER. But, I think this is how the world is heading, so I guess they felt the need to change or die.

The CTS is a classy car on its own, good offerings and is on par with the competition. Caddy should also look into the option of offering the STS, SRX and even the Big Daddy Caddy - Escalade.

The H3 will be a hit in India for sure. It has immense brand value and I'm sure a tonne of people will rush to get their H3s. I don't think its offloading capabilities really matter that much as most people don't even take their SUV s off road and its more of a status thing.

DirtyDan

The picture you have shown is a LH drive. Not an Indian vehicle.

Cheers

Google says this is an H3 Hummer. Are sure you want to pick a fight with Google and the Google Mafia? I hope your medical insurance is paid up, Boy. They exist in other places in the world, H3s do. Maybe some are lefties????

I better start saving up for the H3. I can't wait to bulldoze my way through the pesky snail paced, overtaking lane hogging auto's ,taxi's and two wheelers.
