Afterall they have to maintain the so called "Premium" brand image of Skoda. What would be interesting to see is the engine performance of this one, should be better than diesel (atleast the noise levels will be lower).

Reminds me of a joke which says that you can double the worth of skoda by adding a petrol engine to it :-)

Skoda has disappointed here big time !! We have waited for this car for years ! Skoda should have atleast priced it around 5.8 l on road for base and next version at 6.3 l on road. That atleast would have been decent as we cannot expect Skoda to price competitively.

I think this is the first car to offer Airbags and not ABS in the same variant. Usually they go hand in hand or else ABS is given standard and Airbags as optional.

1.2 68 BHP... isnt it underpowered for the application. The car would run out of breath on highways with full load and if you have to restrict yourself to city why buy the Fabi at all.

All those who are saying "Still it will sell", may i ask WHY?
I have seen only 1 Fabia Diesel on roads so far, and going by that, the Petrol version should be even less popular.

Horribly overpriced, horribly underpowered. What is Skoda thinking??

1.2L 68bhp over 6.25L,man why will i buy this,i would anyday go for a SX4 the sedan attitude and sure many other options available in that range.I had seen this car at Autograph Skoda near my house, its suerly boring funny looking mouse face....except for space in boot+air-bags..No offence ment to any fabia owner.
