Is it Magnesium grey or Carbon black

I doubt the Petrol Stile is carbon black.

Grey = Less maintenance
Black = High maintenance

I prefer Black over Grey personally.

from someone who owns the fern green on the palio AS well as a black safari - i'd say apples and oranges!!! (quite literally!)

a car colour is extremely subjective and more often than not is a fair indication of the nature of the driver/owner.. as loud as the fern green is, mine is well maintained and polished and cared for (the effect of OCD for cleanliness on my cars and bikes!!!) she will turn heads wherever she does go, even though she is now over 6 years old....

amen to that brother!!!

you need to be prepared to really put some blood and guts into looking after a black car. it looks gorgeous when it's clean, but that is all of 5 seconds after you've given her a loving wipe down!!!

The 911 Cabriolet in Choco brown was HOT! Some colours just go well on certain cars and not so well on others.

Red on the old-gen Palio (1.6 in particular with those killer standard alloys) was really eye catching.

The same car in the limited edition Yellow was painful. My opinion.

I really hated the bright yellow that came out in old gen zen. Also remember seeing yellow santros with black bumpers. Yuck Yuck Yuck!

My favorite color as of now is the light metallic blue shade that you get on the civic. A similar shade is also seen and looks good on the aveo, the santro, and others.

Black has nothing to do with maintenance. Be it carbon black or shinning black, or any other black, they all have the property to absorb light and not let out. So, the chrome content in the metallic black paint will not help in giving the shinning look.

After washing, your car may glitter because of the water itself. Basically, black gives a rough look. Even in the showroom, they have pre-polished your car with coating of wax, which causes it to glitter.

I would love to paint my car in black. Especially the rough kind of black which look like black carbon fibre.

Black metallic paints do glitter. Especially the pearl ones. Also, black is the best shade to wax. A properly waxed and polished black car looks bloody brilliant.

After a full clean just touch your car with unclean finger and see the difference

Will never understand Gold on a Swift.

Pink on an Estilo (or any other car, for that matter)

Bright Metallic Green on old Zens

Shades I love:

Black / White / Grey on Swifts

Slate Grey on old Zens

Chocolate / Deep Blue on the Verna
