I am in Australia right now, and was surprised to see a piddly looking GV, it was a two door, very small, I thought it was a Jimny and wanted to check it out and was surprised with the grand vitara badging on it. This was at the airport parking lot and it was a nice experience checking out all those beautifull cars.

No, it was too cold and raining also I had just landed so didnt have a chance to get the camera out of my bags. I am here for another 20 days I am sure I will get a chance to catch it on the camera.

Some one in Gurgaon was looking for a new GV...Yesterday I saw a silver one parked in Rohan's lot on Mathura Road. Must be one of last pieces unsold.

Well, 3door GVs are sold in Australia, I've seen quite a few over there. They are priced at around 20% less than normal 5 cylinder ones. Looks real nice, wish something similar was sold in India too... might make a perfect match for that Fiat 500 everybody always want....

You'll easily find a second hand 2008 CRV for about 14 lacs in Delhi.

in USA they have the 2.7ltr 185 hp engine standard on vitara. shouldnt that be coming here??

or is this engine totally new??

Edit : Seems to have leather seat covers too. But the chrome exterior mirrors look absolute rubbish. And why is an "instrument panel trim" an accessory to make one feel premium??

AFAIK the new GV lot is at the docks and MSIL would decide pricing info after launch of Ritz. Hopefully they would not increase price too much.

Just got some update on new GV, I spoke with their regional office. The launch is due in a month's time. No word on price but expect it to be 25-40% higher due to higher specs.

Just got a call from the Vitesse guy. Says Vitara launch in about 20 days. Expect the 2.4 or 2.5 L but no guesses on pricing. said it could be 1L - 1.5L higher but i doubt that. i think it could be more. so vitara looks like going out of my budget now!!
