@Sudev:
Did your friend's GV get sold? I was curious because I was thinking of also going down the path of a second-hand GV (but I have to wait several months more before I can get my finances in order!) and was wondering about the going prices for 2007/2008 GVs (manual. not interested in AT). Carwale quotes around 10L, seems reasonable to me but not sure how accurate.
One other doubt (any GV owner who knows): does the GV have LSD, in addition to diff locks?

@RR: I am not aware of current status but the pricing he was looking at was slightly higher than Carewale quote as it was a 2008 machine and not 2007.

Touch me in few months and may be if I have my finance in order to go for the new GV ....

I hear price in excess of 16 is being bandied about.

Carwale quotes INR 10,46,900 for car in good condition from pvt individuals, and 9,83,900 for dealer car. All the best.

GV Diesel coming?

New GV apparently to be launched in July, but more importantly, rumours of a GV diesel in 2010! Don't know how credible though.

I got to see a dealer car - GV-AT 2007 - 20K kms and black. The dealer says nothing less than 10.70 L. Any advise whether its justified? Pls help !

Since you are in Mumbai, you might want to check out the car with Vericar. Reviews of Vericar have been mixed, but I suppose better than checking it out yourself, especially if you are uncertain about your technical capabilities.
See: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...ification.html

and

All the best.

I heard about Vericar too and have already spoken to them about the car. but then stopped reluctantly after hearing about the dealers expected price. if any one here thinks that its worth 11 L - then i could have vericar involved and take a dekko at the vehicle. Thanks

Iam not sure if that is such a great deal. I saw several GVs on Carwale in Mumbai, four of them 2007 models. Here is the link in case you have'nt seen it.

Curious, why AT? Any particular reason or was that the only one you came across? I would think MT would be better, unless you plan to drive it mostly in the city.

My drive is mostly city while once a year atleast for long drives (>800 kms) and the occassional Pune trip - maybe once every three months. I have seen the link on carwale and in fact selected the AT out of that list. AT is simply out of preference since i have driven MT's all my life and its an upgrade personally.

Note From Moderator - Please do not discuss buy & sale of GV in this thread, use classifieds for those. In case of any query please use PM instead of posting here as all such posts would be deleted
