Again a generation gap?

Guys I just had a look at Honda's U.K website where they are showing the upcoming Accord. have a look: Honda (UK) New Accord IMO this looks anytime better than the one that has landed in India.

It isnt a generation gap mate! UK is always gifted with Accords that are different than the US ones OR to put it the other way UK always gets the sportier look Accords or Accords which are also sold as Acuras in the US.

The one's that has landed in India is the same as the US version.

Huge or not I dont know, but the new Accord looks terrible. And the interiors are even boring than in the car I sat inside in Dubai. It's annoying how Honda keeps killing fantastic car models. First the OHC and now the O-NHA, I guess that abbreviation will work if you call this the N-NHA !!

Thanks for sharing pics.

Civic sports looks HOT, how much bhp bump is done ? Acoord does it job but still a better interior will be appreciable in a sub 17-18 Lakh car

I can see hybrid car having a wonderful future in india where-in the first query while car shopping is the "What's the Average ?"

Good work Shrughna. I loved the pic.
Honda is working a lot on its stategy in india. They have captured the Indian Market and will still try to rule it with their latest editions.

It would be nice if someone could post a detailed set of pictures of Civic sport . According to the media its going to be pegged close to 20 lacs. I really cant see the poit for 8 additional lacs looking at the pic

According to the Chennai dealer, the Honda Sport will carry the 2.0 DOHC engine ( K-20 ).

This engine puts out about 155 horses in Singapore/ Malaysia.

Expect it to be detuned to about 148 horses for India.

For a gain of 15 odd bhp over the regular Civic, do you think it would be worth its price tag ?

I don't think so.

I second that. The new Accord lacks that appeal & class as the older version. The interiors are too damp and exterior does'nt give it a feel of a 20 lakh car. And this is my view after seeing the car in flesh yesterday. Dissapointing.
The Civic is too overpriced at 18 lakhs. I'd rather drive the Laura than buy a Hybrid Civic for 18.

The only one which is worth amongst all is the Jazz. Superhot.

Whenever a new car is released the dealers send some of their employees (workshop mechanics, floor controller etc) for training to the factory plant. This is an absolute must. Also some car companies expect the workshop mechanics to be a Diploma holder at the minimum. I've seen this with Maruti and Chevrolet, so I'm sure Honda would also follow the same procedure or something better.

They do , I have seen several certificates from Honda at a dealer here indicating who has attended their training at the plant and for which car, when etc
