Boss , come to Hadapsar , magarpatta and you will see 3 to 4 the same Linea cars almost on daily basis. And this is happening for more than 4 months. They take left turn near big bazar. Don't know why it is taking so long for fiat to launch it?

In the second pic, the car looks HUGE. It's a very promising car, can do wonders for Fiat if they handle both the Linea and GP well.

A little off-topic, I recieved an email on 04-Sept with the words "Customer Focus: Fiat" in the subject line. They are asking for feedback on a Fiat, if I own one. Problem is the email id says xxx@gmail.com and the link posted in the email to give the feedback is of some website by the name of surveymonkey.com! Either it's a prank or a virus?

Its not SPAM. Surveymonkey is quite popular when it comes to online surveys.

OT:
Amit, avoid that mail and survey!

Looks like another MBA student doing a project on Fiat India!

It looks huge. To me, it looks like the ground clearance is not all that great. I wonder how it takes Bangalore's craters.

Most of the auto magazines quote the Linea to have a 1.3MJD with 90bhp engine.
I am not too sure if that is good enough for a vehile of this size/build.

Thank you all.

Ricky: We were not able to find what engine & stuff beacuse there was no badging on the car.

The car rushed forward & seemed very powerful.

I think its going to give a tough time to critics finding flaws when its lauched.

I have seen one website mentioning that the ground clearance is just 150. Now this is something really worrying if indeed it is correct.

the 150 ground clearance may be when fully laden. It does not appear to be so low from the pics.

a similar doubt about the ground clearance existed even with the Logan.

IMO Ground clearance should not be the issue here when cars like Civic & Octavia did well in the market.

This was also distributed to Palio users group and all the members were unanimous in ignoring it. Finney is right. Another project for a college dude!

That is precisely the reason why I am not considering Fabia for the upgrade from Palio.

Wheelbase of Linea looks huge, which is a good thing. But, couple it with the ground clearance, which looks a little low and it could be problems at Bangalore. Palio with its good ground clearance is not enough to tackle the roads in and around here. I am not saying that cars with low gc are bad, but with such bad roads around us, Fiat better take this issue seriously.

hot catch dude!
the car looks hot and huge length wise and the ground clearance too looks decent enough.
but somehow it reminds me of the NHC shape wise with the windshield sloping to almost over the front wheel and those trademark NHC rear view mirrors

Sigh! It isn’t…

Peruse two independent reviews here and here on the Fiat Linea (Diesel) and you will read that the 1.3MJD with the 90bhp engine does indeed run of breath. I presume that these reviews were done with just one person driving the Linea and dread to imagine what would be the Linea’s pulling power when it is fully laden. Personally as my use of a car isn’t that extensive it does not justify (for me) paying the extra amount charged for a diesel variant, hence I would not be considering the same whether it came with 90bhp or 150bhp but I do know that if the 1.4 16V T-Jet 120bHp petrol variant isn’t available then the Linea is off my list for sure as I am quite certain that even the 1.4 Fire 77bHp Petrol variant will suffer from the same ailment as the 1.3MJD.
