I don't think sindica's scoop, while deeply appreciated, classifies as any kind of official announcement. They'll wait for the event on the 25th before doing anything.

I'm happy that I'll finally get 15" inch alloys with 98 PCD.

It has been raining camouflaged Lienas in Pune. I saw 5 of them yesterday morning on my way to office (via Salunke Vihar Road) all in a queue and similarly camouflaged. There were people sitting inside them as well (lucky ones). Strangely, a couple of them had their headlights as well as fog lights on. Unfortunately, the cars zipped passed and there was no time for photographs. I saw one today also in the Wanowrie area.

I wonder what are Fiat's plans

Great info but would have been even better if it would have been translated from Turkei into English

I had posted the link to this catalog (in English) a while ago. For those who had missed it, here it is again...

Brazil: Fiat Linea

Fiat Linea is pitted against Corolla and Civic in Brazil.

If FIAT prices Linea at City/Verna level, then surely it has a winner in hands.

Thanks for this. I paste a section here
Quote:
The Linea is being sold with two new engines. Made in Argentina, the 1.85 bifuel engine was developed from a 1.6-liter 16-valve unit used on the Palio and Brava and produces 130 horsepower. It comes on the basic and Absolute versions. The T-Jet is offered with a gasoline-only 1.4-liter 16-valve turbo. Produced in Italy and derived from the Fire family used on the Punto, it delivers 151 hp
Wow, it would be nice if we could get the T-Jet, but then if Fiat planning to price this at City levels, then it is probably unlikely.

May be Corolla / Civic are rightly priced in the Brazil / Latin America markets (close to US) - Corolla / Civic would be in City category (in Indian price) if we do a straight conversion of US prices.

But anyway, if it is priced below the Corolla/Civic, customer stands to gain - However, this should give a feel of the car, and make people not expect 5-7L pricing as touted by some magazines or newspapers.

No, check the article for the prices. Even I had hoped so, but it doesn't seem to be the case.
