Mahindra-Renault to launch CNG, LPG 'Logan'

Renault Logan CNG and LPG to be launched in the coming months

How far is it going to be effective? Livemint reports that the Indica LPG will set foot on the market in June, coinciding with the Logan LPG's launch date. Is this car meant to address the taxi segment or cost-conscious family car buyers?? The Wagon R Duo did the trick for Maruti though.

Not anymore. The CNG should work, but not LPG. I dont see any decline in the autoLPG prices in the coming months. No benefit in LPG anymore.

The prices for LPG and diesel is almost same. Hence it does not make anhy difference as of now unless the LPG prices will come down. It may work for CNG. But how many cities does have CNG filling stations? Hope M&M have done the homework properly.

its not very clear as to whether the Logan will have both diesel+cng/lpg coupled...or whether it will run on pure cng/lpg..

You are absolutely right. Prices being almost the same Logan Diesel suits Taxi segments better. But in places like Delhi, where CNG is compulsary, Logan CNG will have an edge.

According to the article, only the 1.6 litre petrol will have the LPG/CNG variants.
