If so, I don't know where that money is going - not in the balance sheet and not reflected in the stock price. Clearly the affairs have been arranged in a way that only the Doshi family gets the cream.

The usual Indian corporate governance story that no one surfaces in the news.

Re: The Premier Automobiles Ltd - The Remembrances Thread

Premier Ltd, known for manufacturing Premier Padmini cars popular in pre-liberalisation days, will soon be acquired by Chennai-based Fab Metals Pvt Ltd under the insolvency process, according to a disclosure made to the stock exchange.

Lenders would recover about one-fifth of their dues following the sale of the company, people aware of the matter said. Nearly 92% of the lenders by value voted in favour of Fab Metal’s plan early this week.

The engineering company has proposed to make payments to lenders within 90 days of the plan being approved by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), the people said.

This is the Premier Rio. Earlier it came with TUD5 diesel engine, same one which powered the Zen diesel if I am not wrong.
Later model came with fiat 1.3 mjd.

Not many were sold, though it was the first under 4 meter "SUV". Soon enough Ford Ecosport was launched and became a pretty big hit.

Correct.
Originally introduced by PAL-PEUGEOT in the 309GLD which was later on borrowed by Maruti to be introduced in the Zen and Esteem Diesel.

Re: The Premier Automobiles Ltd - The Remembrances Thread

Hello Dhabhar Behram.

I've been in and out of Team-BHP over the years for my love of the Fiat Millcento / 1100. I nearly laid my hands on one in Jabalpur in 2019, but it was my ill luck that the sale did not go through. I regret it to this day. I am from Delhi and looking for a 'good deal' on a Fiat Millicento or 1100 (can spend time and effort to refurbish one if required). Any leads in this regard would be highly appreciated. In the meantime, keep your great posts going.

Thank you

Prashant
