Indica XETA LPG Launched

MODS- DId a search, All topics discuss about Xeta with AFM LPG Kit, So opening a new one.
--------------------------------

I visited True Sai works in Hosur for a check on CS Dicor and I was given a Brochure of Indica XETA LPG. I have the brochure with me, and GLS Variant costs around 4.2 OTR. Let me know if a scan - paste is needed to support this. Will need to wait for till monday.

Important specs Vs Wagon R Duo

Xeta avbl in GLS and GLE

Xeta 1.2L- LPG Toroidal tank - 38.4 Lts Capacity, 30.7 Fillable. Beat that Duo with 20~ Capacity...

Rest all same as existing Xeta, I am sure TATA's space can beat Wagon R for inch to inch. Will be interesting battle to watch.

EDIT-------
I can also see a Mini Fire Extinguisher as a part of the Toroidal Kit. VFM??

Hi Bhp-ians,

I talked to Autofin today and here are the ex-showroom prices of XETA LPG in hyderabad.

GLE - Only AC - 3,64,826/-
GLS - AC and Power steering - 3,85,373/-

And the information is that its going to be launced in a couple of days. I guess that is what we are discussing in this forum on another thread. Indica V3 may be released after 1 month as per the info from them.

Xeta LPG launched

Confirmed. This is what Tata Motor's website says about this:

Tata Motors today announced the launch of the Indica V2 Xeta LPG. The Indica V2 Xeta LPG is equipped with a dual fuel (petrol and LPG) engine, which reduces CO2 emissions by about 10%, while delivering excellent fuel efficiency both in the city and on highways.

The new Xeta LPG comes with a 1.2 litre MPFI engine with two ECUs (Electronic Control Units) in master-slave configuration. It generates a maximum power of 65.3 PS @ 5000 rpm with petrol and an equally peppy 62 PS @ 5000 rpm with LPG. The peak torque of 102Nm @2600 rpm ensures a smooth drive in city conditions. The engine meets BSIII emission norms, but can be upgraded to meet Euro IV norms.

The new Xeta dual-fuel LPG ensures a smooth transition between the two fuel modes, even on the move. The electronically controlled gas MPFI sequential injection system provides significant safety, performance and emission related advantages over competitive offerings.

The Xeta LPG will initially be launched in two variants -- GLE and GLS. The Xeta LPG GLE variant (which comes with AC) is priced at Rs. 3.27 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), while the Xeta LPG GLS variant (which comes with AC, power steering, and body colored bumpers) is priced at Rs. 3.42 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The Xeta LPG variants will be available in a range of five attractive color options, at select showrooms across the country.

only one of you is right with the price!!! there cant be such huge price difference between hyderabad and delhi.

i guess dmplog's is right. the xeta GLS costs 2,94,000/- (ex. hyderabad).

@sriswe, those prices should be OTR. I would say thats great pricing compared to WagonR Duo. Add 30.7 Liters of LPG capacity and loads of interior space. Assuming 11/12 Kmpl for LPG, the range would be 330 / 360km compared to 240 / 260 km range for the Duo.

raj.

do you think that LPG at this point of time is required.LPG in delhi is around 37 rs(NOT SURE need to confirm again)
with 37/12=3.08 aaprox running cost per km.
with petrol :46/12-3.8 approx.

70 paise per km is the saving, and the extra amount is approx.rs 45000.
