Firstly, None of these companies "manufacture" any cars in India in the strict sense of the word. They all Import kits which are then assembled in their Indian Factories.

1) AUDI Audi does not assemble any cars here as of now. so all are CBUs or Completely Built Units

A4 available in 1.8 Petrol and 2.0 Tdi

A6 available in 3.2 Petrol and 3.0 Tdi-Quattro

A6 2.8 Petrol and 2.7 Tdi are also additionally available and are assembled in India at Skoda's plant in Aurangabad.

A8 available in 4.2 (V-8) 6.0 (W12) Petrol and 3.0 Tdi-all Quattro

TT 3.2 coupe

Q7 SUV available in 4.2 Petrol and 3.0 Tdi

Assembled in India:

C Class:
C 200K and the C220 CDI.
Also added: C230 V6 AVANTGARDE.

E Class:
E 200K, E280 Petrol and E280 CDI
E 200K has been discontinued. Will be replaced by E 230 in july.

S Class:
S 350L, S 500L and S 320L CDI
S 500L AND S 600 are CBUs.

CBU: (Completely built Unit/imported but available in India).

CLS 350 and CLS 500, CLS 320 CDI
SL 500
ML 350 and 320 CDI
S 500 amd S 600

The Maybach.


Assembled in India:

3 Series:
320i, 325i and 320d

5 Series:
523i, 525i, 530i 525d,


M6 and 650 i coupe and convertible.

7 Series:
740 Li, 750Li, 760 Li and 730 Ld


X3- 2.5i
X5- 4.8i and 3.0d


Volkswagen also makes cars in India.

Passat 2.0Tdi which is assembled and

the Touareg SUV 3.0Tdi which is a CBU.

didnt audi have a plant where they started assembling the a6.

the a6 is also available in a 2.8 petrol.

wrt the mercs - is the s500l assembled in india? i havent even seen one?

yes thats correct, you tend to see more mercs than BMW or Audi considering that latter two brands have entered the indian market only recently.
