Completely understand this point. However, in my opinion, they could have maintained a silence on the issue, or answered questions with "No comments". That would have been a better stance.

Denying the existance of a new generation of this car, and blaming the media for the hype reduces my faith in Honda as a company, that's all

Vipul, "No Comments" will make a customer assume that the "news" is right and he/she might instead choose to purchase a car from another company - Honda would have just lost a customer for its current generation vehicle. And as we all know, no business can run like that.

The rear looks BMWish, overall appears bigger than the current City.
The alloys are dismal to say the least IMO.
Even Civic has very unappealing alloys in fact. Looks like Honda don't pay much heed to the aesthetics of their wheels!!

The new City should be a good buy in the range of 7.5-8L i feel.

Uglyyyyyyyyyyy. Where are the good looking cars? What was so wrong with the original sleek looks of the OHC?

I loved the 2005 Honda Accord (glass brake lamps). Very suave. Current one is butch but still ugly.

But as I can see from responses, its the brand which is the hunkiest looking

hey bro, these are the good looking cars...they havent gone anywhere, honda is coming up with the best looking cars. dont ask us that question...majority of the people love honda for the way they look. up till now only the city didnt match up to the looks of accord, civic and crv. now honda has come out with a radical design for it too.
kudos to honda for having the best looking cars among all the segments.

I was just talking to Honda in Goa since I was thinking of changing my car.
They admitted there is a new model on the way, but said it was coming after six months, some spiel of homologating the car, etc.
On the Gxi they have alloys as standard, and offer 4 JBL speakers. When asked if there are any other offers- discount of Rs 25,000/- was mentioned. Knowing Honda's reputation of not discounting, does this mean they're selling off stocks?

The design isn't much inspiring.
I'd expected the real car to be much different than what AC had on it's cover page.
The front grille seems so plasticky, and the design so blunt.
I really wonder what has changed so radically, that people call it a winner already.

The design aint blunt buddy. Its definitely something better than present City ! I agree with you on the grille part a chrome grille ( like Accord) would have given a better look too. People are calling it a winner cos they know it ll sell cos 1. Its a Honda 2. V TEC engine in all trims 3. Bigger than present City
4. Better looking. But pricing will be deciding factor here. But till then Kudos to Honda !
