Looks nice,

guys did you notice the rear hang. Seems it has a big wheelbase and very short rear hand. So, finally it might be quite stable at high speeds unlike the current City ZX.

I wish, they do something about the feather light steering as well. Guess sporty (hopefully affordable) city is back

The side profile looks so much like a Civic. Wonder how Honda will be able to distinguish between the 2!!

I dont think we can rely on the specs published. These features and trims are for Jazz. I believe there will definately be some difference in variants between Jazz and G3HC.

Pricing should start in the low THB 500,000 (Rs 6.5L) range, and end just short of THB 700,000 (Rs 9L) for the SV model. cheers:

I've had multiple calls from a honda dealer and an SMS too! They claim that there'll be a huge waitlist for the new model and so effectively deliveries will happen in december. Also they remind me that the new car will have an ivtec not an i-dsi saying the fuel eff. will be lower. Estimated (theirs) price is 9.5 lakh.

Typical sales tactics by dealers to push existing stocks out:
a) Deny any news about the new model as long as it is possible.
b) When it is not possible to do so any longer, suddenly become customer focussed and bombard friendly messages
c) Raise question marks on fuel efficiency of the new model in a way which can't anyway be held against the dealer at a future point
d) Raise question marks about the price of the new model(which is always 'much higher') and try to lure customers by offering discounts
e) Raise concerns about delays in delivery of the new model - " here we have our model ready and waiting for you"

A big round of applause for Team-BHP for breaking this news and an equally big round of applause to AutoCar for accurately predicting how this car would look. IMHO the car looks almost IDENTICAL to what they rendered! Good work all!

For those interested a full specification and price details have been posted on Japan Car Blog a few hours ago. It's pretty much a run down of the new Honda city from start to finish. Good read.

The new Honda City looks so much better than the current one which looked too pansy IMO.
