Any Idea about the cost and the specs of indian version.
Correct product will however find it tough messing up with Innova because of the brand image of Swaraj-Mazda.

Hmmm..... ???
Interesting bit of news.

There was an MUV shown in the Swaraj Mazda stall at this year's Auto expo. When asked about it's indian launch, we got a very negative reply. So, they suddenl decided to bring this thing or what????

the MUV is known as ISuzu D1 in thailand and is a competitor to the endeavour made by ford ... if its priced right and wid a proper diesel engine.. . thn we have a winner.. otherwise it would be another tuscon style story.

Why pickup truck? Why not the SUV version of this....that would be just perfect. We really need a better option in the 10-11 lakh bracket. Can't imagine paying that much for a Scorpio. .

Ohh no no. This car is a right royal mess. I have seen it in the auto show and i have seen fifth gear test it. Its engine is almost prehistoric in nature. But i am sure it will be built like a tank.

Isuzu and Mazda?? Incredulous.

Wasn't the Tavera the old-gen Isuzu Panther which GM has launched in India? Am confused a bit!

Are GM and Isuzu divorced yet? Wonder what will be the future of the Tavera that is ageing rapidly by the day. Tavera is getting stepmotherly treatment from GM.

The vehicle looks too Escalade-ish....it would look better without those vertical chromes in the grille.

I wonder why Mazda has no plans for India while they have decades of experience in Indian market along with Swaraj?
Or why Swaraj is not interested in Passenger car market with the support of Mazda?
I am sure Mazda has few good cars which Indian market will welcome. Mazda 3, Mazda 6 Sedans and Tribute SUV.
