Shell has put banners at its pumps proudly declaring that the Unleaded Petrol is Rs.81.70 per litre. Now, it makes sense going to Shell since the differential is a few paise. It appears shell will stick to this price for another 2 weeks at least before increasing it citing higher exchange rate/ crude price..

In Chennai, Unleaded (Regular) petrol price in Shell is Rs. 79. I filled up my call today as almost all other fuel stations in Chennai are closed with "Petrol/Diesel - No Stock" boards displayed outside.

Yes. Shell has revised the prices t0 80.30, a reduction of 1.40 rupees. Now seems like Shell is cheaper than PSU Bunks.

Their website still displays 81.70. Says it was last updated on May 25th though. I was blindly following this link since a few months.

I saw a banner in Shell bunk in Vittal Mallya Road stating Rs.79.70 per liter, though I did not not fill as I had half tank

Yes, I filled at Shell yesterday and it was 79.70

Its time to go to shell till we see considerable drop in PSU prices. Infact i am not aware of the prices at IOC or HP currently

i guess its more than that of shell

As long as Shell petrol price is not considerably more (say > 2 rs/ltr) then the PSU petrol, I dont see a good reason to go back to the PSU petrol again. My car feels so much smoother and responsive with the Shell (normal) petrol. Bunk is not crowded and the attendants are more professional/courteous.
I feel the pumps are not tampered (will confirm this after few more fills)
