Does Shell have differential pricing within Bangalore? Mahadevapura outlet seems to be selling petrol a bit cheaper than elsewhere.

Shell at Vittal Mallya road was 76.10 today morning. I guess they do follow differential pricing in Bangalore too. The borders receive petrol at a lower cost compared to city center?

Typically metro city limits sell BS4 petrol and hence costlier by 0.5 rs.
Never knew shell also followed dual quality

I checked in Shell @ Bellary Road near Mekri Circle and its still quoting 76.10. Didnt know Shell had differential pricing amongst petrol pumps!!!

Might not be the case. Filled from the shell station near Jakkur aerodrome, Bellary road for Rs. 76.10 a litre.

Not sure whether you guys discussing any increase at Shell or comparing it with PSUs, I tanked up at 71.75/- unleaded at Hinjewadi, Pune on Saturday, 21/07. It must have to do with some more taxes in Bangalore.

Filled up again today - price remains at Rs 76.10. No changes even after the PSUs hiked their prices. Price difference must now be more than a Rupee.

I also checked with the attendant who's been working there for sometime. Apparently, the prices are sometimes lowered in certain areas due to the lower transportation/operation costs.

Now the big question i have is....are PSU's over quoting the price to make up for the losses else where or are Shell under Quoting to get market share?

What ever it is, good to fill up at Shell now and save that few rupees. Some how it feels real nice to save on fuel even if it is just as good as nothing and now added to that better fuel and cheaper! Tank up!!

The official fuel board reads as Rs.76.10 even now.

After the yesterday's fuel price hike, for the first time, Shell prices are cheaper in Hyderabad than the PSU's.

Shell in Hyderabad for petrol : Rs. 75.25 a litre
IOC - Rs. 75.80 a litre.

Price is 76.10 in most city bunks (of Shell). The Mahadevapura one must come under rural category. Bunks which come under rural category pay slightly less taxes. Petrol at the HSR Layour 27th Main bunk is usually cheaper than other bunks. When i checked they said its because of some rural category. May be the same applied to Shell.

. Hope shell continues the same pricing. Btw, brent cruid price is at $102.94 (little down from july peek). I will fill up @ Shell this weekend.
