![]() Are we actually saying that price went down from 75.25 to 74.10 and now 73.95 all in 24 hours ? That is too much deregulation ![]()

![]() Shell probably did a 'price-match' with other OMCs. As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, by reducing the cost of petrol by a few paise, Shell can can see an increase in footfall. No complaints from us old timers ![]()

Its just that I am wondering how the prices are fixed. I am ok if it is done at same time at all shell outlets.

I filled up for Rs 74.15 yesterday at Rajajinagar. Anyway glad that Shell is dropping prices without waiting for change in PSU prices. I'll be happy if Shell continues to provide the benefit to customers as and when international prices drop. This is what free market pricing is all about. | ![]() How many folks here fill from Shell on Old Madras Road? I tanked up my car on 31st March at this gas station. It went smooth. I paid by debit card. However; when I checked my bank statement today, I noticed an additional charge of Rs. 82.52 as a separate transaction. The bank statement date indicates this as April 03 with the description indicating as the transaction occurred on March 31st at Shell. This transaction never showed up on sms. I spoke to my bank but they could not help me and asked me to speak to the fuel station which I am going to do tomorrow as I have not carried the fuel bill with me today. How does Shell take care of cases of over charging? Last edited by sandeepmohan : 5th April 2013 at 10:58. |

Has the bank confirmed that it is not a surcharge? If it is not, you can dispute the transaction, they (Shell/bank) would need to produce your signed transaction slip otherwise.

Below is the latest extract from the Shell india website: ![]() The dates are the same but prices reduced by 10-20paise in some cities. Not clear if it was a Typo or there was a revision in prices again. Whatever it is, It feels good to see Gasoline prices reducing and Diesel prices increasing ![]()

So I spoke to the bank again and they did confirm that this is a surcharge. It does not say this as a description in the account statement. Man thats a lot of money. The chap I first spoke to in the morning did not highlight this as a surcharge and asked me to check with the fuel pump and hence I thought of asking folks here on how to deal with this. Rs. 2937.01 Yes. 39.03litres @ Rs 75.25 a liter. Thank you for pointing this out. |

| ![]() Fuel surcharge was always deducted by shell, but this do not reflect on the bill. All debit card transactions for tank full had 75 bucks approx deducted. In sbi credit card amoun in credited back but not completely. I have started cash for every refill. |
