Shell Petrol is Cheaper than HP/BP/IOC etc !! That's the net take.
Just rush and tank up your Petrol vehicles at Shell before they fire up the prices again !!

HERE is my current stats with Shell Petrol filled on 02nd May 2013 (yesterday).

I tanked up my Beatie @ Shell, Siddapura outlet (my regular outlet since 2 years), today morning.

Guess what: Shell Unleaded Petrol - Rs.68.80/litre only !!! That's Pure Unadulterated Fuel at par with the HP / BP/ IO and other Indian counterparts !!

Eeeee... That's tough luck.
I was fortunate since my tank was 3/4th empty yesterday and weekend was near. So I tanked up yesterday itself.

If you read my post again, the price is mentioned for diesel. 57.50 is the price per litre of diesel.

Re: Shell fuel price discussion thread !!

The fall in price for Shell Diesel has got me thinking. Is the 4.50 bucks per litre difference enough to shift over to Shell for diesel as well? May be after the next 2 rounds of PSU diesel price hikes.

Re: Shell fuel price discussion thread !!

Yesterday evening, price was 68.55 at Shell Yeshwantpur. Had tanked up yesterday.
I wish Shell super unleaded was a bit cheaper.

For the first time in history diesel rates overtake petrol in India.
In Goa:
GO GOA GONE....
The rates in Panaji are:
HSD - 52.76
MS - 52.11

Re: Shell fuel price discussion thread !!

I tanked up with Shell Diesel last week. I filled about 35 liters (my tank capacity is 55 liters).
I have seen a very noticeable loss in pickup and power. My Rapid has become very sluggish especially when changing from the 1st to 3rd gears and the acceleration is not very great too. This is a totally different experience compared to the Govt. pumps, where there is no loss of power.
I think Shell diesel is not well tuned to run on Indian diesel cars.
Any diesel car owners have a different experience with Shell Diesel? Does it make sense to try out for 2-3 tankfulls and then switch back to government diesel if this problem persists?

I filled up Shell Diesel at Rs.57.50 per liter. My asumption was that it will accelarate better and may provide more mileage. I tried to accelarate more and did not feel any difference. Need to check on the mileage part. I drive Ford Figo tdci

I love filling up at shell for my civic. Shell unleaded is really refined and I can 'feel' the smoothness. Out of choice when I fill at non-shell, the engine growls at top rpm just before shifting. BTW, I drive an automatic and very sensitive to gear shifts while hitting top rpm in paddle shift mode.
Did a full tank yesterday for 68.88 per liter.
