Volkman, what is Euro III and Euro IV prices? I've seen Unleaded and Super in the Shell bunks and the price difference is close to Rs.10/- between these.

Anyone using Shell Cash? Any benefits? I got a free card, but might not renew it as I'm a diesel customer and the prices have gone sky-high.
Well, there are rumors that the price of Diesel may go up by Rs.5 by Sept 6, so dont throw away that card just yet

Car sales are already on slump. But now, this would cause a severe damage.

However I guess, we may see more offers and cash discounts on diesel cars.

Re: Shell fuel price discussion thread !!

I topped up at Shell, Gottigere, Bangalore, today. Price Rs. 80.15, compared to Rs. 77.25 on August 16.

It was interesting to see the other vehicles: a Santro, M800. Apparently Shell's fuel quality is more widely known than I thought.

That is probably because she'll is cheaper than PSUs by 50 paise atleast.

When the price hike came into effect on 1st, shell prices were unchanged; thankfully managed to top up both bike and car! Price hike in Shell came in a day later.

I don't get it, what's interesting in this?
When I had an M800 6 years ago, I was a regular at shell.
Even before that when I didn't have my car and had only my bike, I was going regularly to shell.
Shell was actually introduced to me by my friend who was regular there with his Santro.
Its almost 7 years now and before prices of PSU petrol were deregulated, I had happily given 5-9 rupees premium for Shell Petrol.

The vehicle models have nothing to do with shell IMO. But yes, now that the difference between shell and the PSU stations is less, number of vehicles have definitely increased at shell.

Re: Shell fuel price discussion thread !!

My point was that considering the higher price, one would think owners of smaller vehicles would be more price-sensitive, but that did not seem to be the case. I guess once one knows about Shell that's where the desire to fill up would be. I learned about Shell recently, so the learning on my part.

No offense meant at all, rather happy surprise.

Filled up at Gachibowli for a staggering 83.75. Do not know where this leads to.

In fact price sensitive people tend to be more calculative and hence higher chances of them going to Shell because of better FE among other benefits.
While people with higher affordability tend to care less about cost per KM

As you mentioned rightly, "once people come to know" about shell, things change. This "learning" takes a lot of time.

Its similar to the established fact in the automotive world that changing Indians' mindset is difficult leading to a situation where one or two manufacturers are minting money with average cars while many other good cars are struggling.

No offense taken but just took it as a topic for discussion. Also, I have moved to a bigger car
