If nobody buys the petrol, then they have to reduce further as there are only a very few takers for this....

i think its time for them to revise it again(downwards!). Something in the range of 60-62 will certainly get them back into business.

Anybody knows whats the cost of Shell petrol in Poona?

I stoped going there months ago when they stopped ordinary petrol... and then started increasing the cost of their premium petrol to exhorbitant levels.

The price now in chennai is Rs.64.45. They keep repeating that they have added some additives for increasing mileage. From my observation the fact is that they had taken off all these additives as they kept increasing the prices to upto Rs.70. They increased the price, reduce the additives and tried to survive. Now they are back in business with what the "shell super" actually mean.

I am filling back in shell and I see that my dropped mileage has increased and am getting 11-12 inside city and 15-16 in highway in my fiesta. Am happy with the smoothness too. IOC bunk was anyway ripping me off anyway giving less than 11 kmpl mileage with poor pick up and a noisy engine. I thought my car got older. But back to shell and the car feels as new. Great!

Shell petrol prices in Pune is Rs 64.95, just filled it yesterday. The petrol pump near the Ahmed nagar Highway is where I filled it from. This was the first time that I had been to a Shell pump and was pleasently surpirsed at the service provided by them.

After filling the petrol, they check your car water, oil, air and also did a vaccum cleaning in my car free of cost. I liked their service.

Regards,
Kailash

The Good news is that crude is now at 85 USD per barrel, so prices might drop further more and we will be able to get good fuel at Reliance and Shell pumps soon.

64.95? I fill ordinary petrol (+System G) at the BP COCO opp. RTO and it costs 54.97 plus I think about Rs. 1.5 for the additive. So its still about Rs. 8.5 pricier! At my current rate of consumption, cant afford it. :(

But its very nice to hear about the other fringe benifits like vaccuming and all! I have filled up at the Shell bunk on Mulshi Road, and all they ever offered was a free window clean job.
