Navan Sir, I frequent this petrol bunk. The bunk is still there but the Queue is further reduced because of the new flyover. People dont feel like taking the service lane to get their tanks filled up.

No change in Chennai so far. It has been Rs 55.65 for super unleaded for quite a while now.

Woah! That is quite a jump! Guess, I will have to go back to the IOC bunk closer to home now as it is a ~Rs. 2 increase in price.

5Rs Extra

Every time i fill at Shell using my credit card, i get fuel surcharges back EXCEPT Rs 5..this is ONLY at Shell- any idea why?
Does not happen at any other outlet where all the fuel surcharge is given back..who is keeping this extra money? Shell or the bank?? and why?

It is the service tax on the fuel surcharge which doesn't get refunded if the card is swiped in a card reader which is of the bank other than the credit card issuing bank. This was told to me by ICICI on my query regarding the same issue I had/have. So if you ensure the card swiping machine is of the bank which issued your CC then you would get full refund.

I recently filled in OMR Shell - and they seem to have a variant of additive-mixed Diesel. Though I kept away from it and went with the usual dose of regular Diesel (Rs. 39.95 / litre), wanted to know if anyone has tried this.

AFAIK, such "super Diesels" are not meant for my Getz CRDi...
